Building the Community Through Childcare

This journey began with my desire to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children in my community. While taking my daughters to school, I noticed many young children walking without adult supervision, which sparked my realization of a greater need for safe, affordable childcare. I then came across an article highlighting the lack of childcare options for low-income families, and that was my confirmation. I knew I could help provide a solution. After completing the necessary training, I launched my family childcare business in July 2000. Since then, I’ve continued to grow my skills, earning a bachelor’s degree in child development with a focus on infants, toddlers, and children with special needs.

 
Over the years, I’ve gained extensive experience working in both family childcare and early education environments, including five years with the Los Angeles Unified School District and the Riverside County Office of Education. This wealth of knowledge has reinforced my passion for working with children, particularly those with special needs, and inspired me to open Gilbert Family Childcare in Perris, CA in 2021. I strive to offer flexible, personalized care to families, ensuring children receive the opportunities, attention, and support they deserve. It’s my mission to create a safe space where children can grow and thrive, while giving families peace of mind that their little ones are well cared for.
